The first stop on your tour will be at the largest mosque in Oman, the Grand Mosque of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. From here you will be taken to the Oman National Museum where you will discover the remarkable history of your travel destination. Next stop is Mutrah, where you will visit the Fish Souq and Oman’s largest Traditional Souq. After this, you will visit old Muscat and see the Sultan’s Al Alam Palace. You will also see, standing at the entrance to Muscat Bay, the twin Forts of Jalali and Mirani, which, are among Oman’s most famous forts. Wadi Dayqah and Quriyat Tour

Quriyat lies on the east coast, at the end of a sandy plain, overlooked by the Eastern Hajar Mountains. Quriyat has areas of outstanding natural beauty. The Wadi Dayqah streams flow from the mountains creating pockets of greenery. It is the largest steam in the Arabian Peninsula with water flowing all year round. There is an ever-present contrast between mountains and coast that makes the area particularly attractive.

Your day of adventure beings first thing in the morning. On leaving Muscat you will drive through Wadi Adai and arrive in the village of Hail Al Ghaf. From here you will travel into the village of Mazarai. After driving through Wadi Dayqah you can walk or swim through the cool fresh waters of the rock pool. You commence your return journey and visit the Quriyat Fish Souq located on the edge of the historical harbor. You will then return to Muscat having experienced the spectacular Dayqah gorge, known as the Devil’s Gap and the Quriyat harbor, an important port in the heyday of foreign trade.

A’Nakhal and Rustaq Tour

A’Nakhal is a typical Omani village. It lies at the foothills of the mountains near an abundant source of water, which irrigates extensive date palm plantations.

Your tour begins by driving along the magnificent Batinah coastline. You will stop and visit the local Fish Souq and the Historical Seeb Souq. Proceeding to Barka you will see the Oasis of A’Nakhal, visit the 17th Century Fort and enjoy the invigorating waters of Al Thowarah Hot Springs. Your tour will then continue to the township of Rustaq complete with a visit to Al Hazm Fort before returning to Muscat.

Nizwa and Bahla town Tour

This region links Muscat and the coast with the interior of the country through the Sumail Gap.

Beginning in the morning you will drive through the magnificent Hajar Mountains via Fanja, Sumail and Izki, stopping at the old town of Birkat Al Mauz. From here you continue your tour to the township of Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. You will visit the Nizwa Fort built in 1660 and explore the traditional Nizwa Souq. Then you travel to the village of Bahla with its rich tradition of pottery, weaving and magic. You will then commence your return trip to Muscat bringing with you a very real Omani experience.

Grand Canyon and Nizwa Tour

Your tour commences by travelling through the Hajar Mountains to the township of Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. At Nizwa you will visit Nizwa Fort and the Traditional Souq.

From here you will travel through the deep Wadi of Ghaul and arrive at Jebel Shams, ‘Mountain of the Sun’ the undisputed lord of the mountains. Jebel Shams is the highest peak of the Jebel Al Akhdar mountain range, soaring 3,000 meters above sea level. Spectacular scenery, ancient rock carvings and remote villages – this is the ‘Grand Canyon’ of Oman. There will be time to experience some of the breath-taking scenery before driving back to Muscat.

Starting in the morning you will travel through the mountainous and desert landscape arriving at the dramatic Bama Sinkhole. Your tour will allow time for you to swim in the clear sparkling waters. Once you are refreshed you will continue travelling through the villages of Dahab and Finns and arrive at Wadi Shab – wadi meaning ‘gorge between cliffs’. Your guide will take you for a visually breathtaking, easy walk through the Wadi. Here you can relax take a nature walk, take a dip in the pools. After you are refreshed you will visit the coastal village of Tiwi before commencing your return journey. On your return trip you can stop at the township of Quriyat and visit the Fish Souq located on the edge of the expansive harbor.

Wahiba Sands and Wadi Bani Khalid

The Wahiba’s are desert in the romantic sense of the word. Rolling sand dunes, varying from deep red to a rich honey color, stretching as far as the eye can see. This is the traditional home of the nomadic Bedouin.

Starting in the morning you will travel into the mountains passing through Sumail Gap and Wadi L’Akk across the desert plains through the townships of Bidbid and Al Qabil. Your destination is the Golden Sea Sands of Wahiba.

At Wahiba you will experience 4WDriving on the sand dunes as well as a visit to a Bedouin community. There will be the chance for you to ride a camel and the opportunity to meet with the Bedouin women and purchase their traditional handicrafts. From here you will travel to Wadi Bani Khalid for an easy walk along the riverbed with ample time to cool down in the crystal clear waters of the rock pools.

Turtle Beach and Wadi Bani Khalid

Your adventure begins in the afternoon when you commence your tour to Ras Al Hadd, the nesting beach of the Giant Green Turtle. To begin you will drive through the townships of Ibra, Al Qabil, Al Mintarib and Kamil arriving at the ancient seafaring township of Sur – approximately 310km from Muscat. From here you will travel on to Ras Al Hadd to your campsite at Ras Al Jinz. Your camping experience will include watching the giant turtles lay their eggs in the moonlight. After breaking camp next morning you will return to Muscat via Wadi Bani Khalid. At the wadi you will have time to swim in the refreshing clear waters of the rock pool before returning to your hotel.
